JAMB clarifies rumors on 2025 Direct Entry registration deadline

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially dispelled rumors claiming that the 2025 Direct Entry registration would close on Monday, April 7th, 2025.
In a statement, JAMB clarified that the registration process, which began on Wednesday, March 12th, 2025, will continue until an official closing date is announced.
Candidates who wish to register can still do so at any of JAMB’s designated Professional Registration Centres (PRCs) beyond the rumored deadline. This extension is part of JAMB’s ongoing efforts to investigate candidates suspected of using fraudulent A-Level results during the registration process.

JAMB also issued a stern warning to candidates with questionable credentials, advising them to refrain from participating in the registration.
The board has implemented measures to detect fraudulent applications, and candidates found to have used dishonest results are urged to withdraw voluntarily. JAMB’s investigations will also include students who have already been admitted using fraudulent credentials.
