Breaking…Supreme Court declares Samuel Anyanwu as PDP’s authentic National Secretary

The Supreme Court has affirmed Samuel Anyanwu as the legitimate National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), overturning a previous ruling by the Court of Appeal in Enugu, which had recognized Sunday Udeh-Okoye in the position.
Delivering its judgment on Friday, the apex court ruled that both the Court of Appeal and the trial court in Enugu lacked jurisdiction over the matter, as it pertains to the internal affairs of the PDP.
Anyanwu, a close ally of former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, had initially vacated the secretary position to contest the Imo State governorship election.

However, following his loss in the poll, he returned to reclaim his position, sparking legal disputes within the party.
With this ruling, the Supreme Court has settled the leadership tussle, solidifying Anyanwu’s role in the PDP’s national leadership structure.
