Manchester United delivered a stunning result on Sunday, defeating Premier League leaders Arsenal 3–2 in a thrilling encounter at the Emirates Stadium.

The home side took an early lead through an unfortunate own goal from United defender Lisandro Martínez, who diverted a cross into his own net while attempting to clear danger.

United responded before the break, with Bryan Mbeumo drawing the visitors level after a sustained spell of pressure, restoring parity and setting the tone for an intense second half.

After the restart, Patrick Dorgu produced a moment of brilliance to put Erik ten Hag’s side ahead, firing a powerful strike past the Arsenal goalkeeper to silence the home crowd.

Arsenal thought they had salvaged a point late on when Mikel Merino struck a well-taken equaliser, raising hopes of a dramatic comeback for the title chasers.

However, those hopes were dashed just three minutes from time as Matheus Cunha unleashed a sublime effort, sealing a dramatic victory for United and leaving Arsenal stunned at home.

The defeat dents Arsenal’s push for the Premier League crown, while United’s victory boosts their confidence as they continue their resurgence in the league
