Victor Osimhen among early arrivals as Super Eagles camp opens in Kigali

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen is among the first players to arrive in Kigali as Nigeria’s national team kicks off preparations for their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Rwanda. Other early arrivals in camp include Bruno Onyemaechi, Papa Daniel Mustapha, and Kayode Bankole.
A video shared on the team’s official social media platforms captured the players touching down at Kigali International Airport, where they were received by newly appointed head coach Eric Chelle and other team officials.

The Super Eagles are under pressure to secure a victory, as they currently sit fourth in their six-team qualifying group with just three points from four matches. Their showdown with Rwanda, scheduled for Friday, is a must-win fixture as they aim to revive their qualification hopes.
Chelle, who will be leading the team for the first time as head coach, has called up a 23-man squad for the doubleheader, which also includes a Group C clash against Zimbabwe in Uyo next Tuesday.
