Kwankwaso’s son resigns from NNPP, joins to ADC

Mustapha Rabiu Kwankwaso, son of Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, the 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has announced his resignation from the party, marking a notable political shift as he prepares to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
In a statement shared on his Facebook page on Monday, Mustapha confirmed that his decision to leave the NNPP was deliberate and carefully considered, signaling a strategic move in his political career.
“I wish to inform the general public that I have officially resigned my membership of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) with immediate effect,” he said.
He added that he is currently in the process of joining the ADC, expressing optimism about the next phase of his political journey.

According to him, his decision to align with the ADC is driven by his belief that the party is well-positioned to bring about meaningful change in Nigeria, particularly in Kano State.
Kwankwaso noted that the ADC’s vision and values provide a credible platform for promoting good governance, economic development, and improved welfare for citizens.
He further emphasised his commitment to working with like-minded stakeholders to achieve shared development goals, noting that his decision reflects his dedication to the progress of the country.
