Bandits raid Katsina community, kidnap businessman, wife

Tragedy struck Tudun Daluta in Kankara town, Katsina State, on Wednesday night when bandits reportedly attacked the home of a young businessman, Suleiman Danjuma.
The incident was disclosed in a post shared by Bakatsine on X on Thursday, drawing attention to the growing security concerns in parts of Katsina State.
He wrote: “During the attack, Suleiman Danjuma and his wife were kidnapped, a local source reported, leaving their family and the community in fear and shock.”

The incident occurred despite a recent peace agreement between local leaders and the bandits.
It marks the third consecutive day that civilians have been abducted in Kankara Local Government Area, even during the holy month of Ramadan, a period traditionally devoted to reflection, compassion and peace.
