Tottenham sack Thomas Frank as head coach

Tottenham Hotspur have officially parted ways with head coach Thomas Frank following the club’s disappointing run of form in the Premier League.

The North London side confirmed the decision on Wednesday, just a day after a painful 2–1 home defeat to Newcastle United further deepened their struggles this season.

The loss proved to be the final straw for the Spurs hierarchy, as it left the team languishing in 16th place on the league table — just five points clear of the relegation zone.

Frank, who had been tasked with steadying the club and pushing for a competitive campaign, was unable to turn things around as results continued to fall below expectations. Tottenham have endured inconsistent performances, defensive lapses, and a lack of cutting edge in attack, leaving fans increasingly frustrated.

With pressure mounting from supporters and concerns growing over the possibility of a relegation battle, the club opted for swift action to revive their season.

In a brief statement, Tottenham thanked Frank for his service and wished him well in his future career, while confirming that arrangements for an interim or permanent replacement would be announced soon.

Spurs will now hope a managerial change can spark an immediate turnaround as they fight to climb away from danger and salvage what has been a turbulent campaign.
