Born Angela Ijeoma Okorie on 17 August 1985 in Cotonou, Benin Republic, she hails from Ishiagu in Ivo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, South-East Nigeria.
She is the third of five children and spent her early years in Cotonou before moving to Nigeria as a teenager.
Angela Okorie completed her primary and secondary education in Lagos State.
She later studied Theatre Arts at the University of Lagos, a course that helped shape her acting career.
After that, she obtained another degree in Public Administration from Lagos State University.
Her academic background gave her both creative and administrative exposure before fully embracing entertainment.
Career
Before joining Nollywood, Okorie worked as a model for about ten years, promoting a popular soap brand.
She officially entered the movie industry in 2009 and made her debut in the film Sincerity, produced by Stanley Egbonini and directed by Ifeanyi Ogbonna.
The movie featured actors such as Chigozie Atuanya, Nonso Diobi, Yemi Blaq and Oge Okoye.
Her major breakthrough came after she starred in Holy Serpent, which brought her into the limelight.

Between 2009 and 2014, Angela Okorie appeared in over 100 Nollywood films, making her one of the most visible actresses of that period.
In 2014, Vanguard newspaper described her as one of the most sought-after actresses in Nollywood, while The Nation praised her ability to interpret roles with ease.

Angela Okorie has also ventured into music alongside acting.

The actress was previously married to Chukwuma Orizu, and the union produced a son, Chamberlain Kasiemobi Chukwuma Orizu.
The marriage later ended, a development she has openly discussed in interviews.
In 2020, reports emerged that she had remarried after photos of a beach wedding with Nwele Michael Chukwudi surfaced online.

She later explained that the event was staged as part of a music video promotion for her song titled *Baby Chuchu.
Assassination Attempt
In December 2019, Angela Okorie survived a violent attack which she later described as a near-death experience.
She publicly expressed gratitude to God for sparing her life and said the incident had a deep impact on her faith and outlook on life.
