Bandits gun down 2, abduct 6 in fresh Katsina community attack

At least two people were killed and six others abducted on Friday night following a violent attack by armed bandits in Katsina State.
The assailants reportedly stormed Dan Nakwabo and Madobai villages in Kankara Local Government Area, leaving residents in fear and uncertainty. Eyewitness accounts suggest the attackers arrived at night, firing shots and forcibly taking several villagers away.
Details of the incident came to light after a security analyst known as Bakatsine shared the report on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday.
According to the post, the gunmen struck at around 9:00 p.m.

“In Dan Nakwabo village, the attackers killed a man and a woman, identified as children of a local businessman, Alhaji Dan Azimi.
“Two other residents were abducted during the attack.
“In nearby Madobai village, no deaths were recorded, but four people were kidnapped by the bandits during the same operation,” he wrote.
As of the time of reporting, the Katsina State Police Command and the state government had not issued any official statement.
