Rivers: Four PDP Lawmakers dump party for APC

Four members of the House of Representatives from Rivers State have officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), further reshaping the state’s political landscape.
The defection comes just one week after Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, aligned with the ruling APC, signaling a significant shift in political allegiance within the state.
The lawmakers who crossed over are Manuchim Umezuruike, representing Port Harcourt I Federal Constituency; Boniface Emerengwa of Ikwerre/Emuoha Federal Constituency; Awake-Inombek Abiante, who represents Andoni/Opobo Federal Constituency; and Boma Goodhead, the lawmaker for Asari-Toru Federal Constituency.

The development emphasizes a growing realignment among Rivers State political actors following recent shifts at the state level.
