Breaking…ASUU suspends 2-week warning strike

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has suspended its two-week warning strike that was declared last week across all public universities in Nigeria.
The decision was announced on Wednesday during a press conference at the union’s headquarters in Abuja.
Speaking to journalists, ASUU President Chris Piwuna explained that the suspension came following the intervention of the Senate and other well-meaning Nigerians. He emphasized that the union remains committed to resolving lingering issues affecting the university system through dialogue and constructive engagement.

Piwuna also noted that the National Executive Council of ASUU has granted the government a one-month window to address all outstanding matters, warning that failure to resolve them may result in the resumption of industrial action.
