Trump announces historic UFC event at the White House for his 80th birthday

In an unprecedented move blending politics and sports entertainment, U.S. President Donald Trump has revealed that the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will stage a live event at the White House on June 14, 2026 a date that also marks his 80th birthday.
The announcement was made during the President’s address in Norfolk, Virginia, sparking widespread excitement and curiosity across both political and sporting circles.
Although the UFC has yet to issue an official confirmation, reports suggest the historic fight night will take place on the South Lawn of the White House as part of celebrations for the 250th anniversary of American Independence.

According to UFC CEO Dana White, the event will be unlike any other in the sport’s history. Plans include hosting the official weigh-ins at the Lincoln Memorial, with fighters making a dramatic walk to the Octagon directly from the Oval Office.
White also revealed that restoring the White House lawn after the event could cost up to $700,000, highlighting the logistical challenges of bringing a full-scale MMA production to one of the world’s most iconic landmarks.
