2Baba refutes rumors of arrest in UK over alleged altercation with wife

Afrobeats icon Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Baba, has debunked viral claims that he was arrested in the United Kingdom following an alleged altercation with his new wife, Natasha Osawaru.
The speculation, which spread rapidly on social media, suggested that police were called after a heated exchange between the couple during the singer’s UK tour. According to blogger Silverdam, the incident allegedly took place at their hotel, with bottles said to have been thrown in the confrontation.
2Baba, however, has firmly dismissed the reports, describing them as unfounded and misleading. He urged fans and the public to disregard the rumors, stressing that he remains focused on his tour and music engagements abroad.
2Baba and Natasha reportedly landed in the UK on Thursday, October 2, 2025, for the first leg of his tour scheduled to begin that same day.
However, addressing the rumours in a social media video, the music icon — who recently marked his 50th birthday — explained that his absence from the show was due to a medical emergency, not a domestic dispute.

In the clip, 2Baba appeared alongside Natasha and another man in what looked like a studio setting, as the trio laughed off the claims.
The man in the video was heard saying, “Oh boy, they have alleged.”
2Baba replied, “Please, if you don’t know anything, don’t talk. I am tired of this allegedly.
“We had a medical emergency. It was tough. To the show organisers and everybody that came out, I appreciate you. We go regroup and make something beautiful happen.”
