President Tinubu to return early from European vacation

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is expected back in Abuja on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, cutting short his working vacation in Europe.
The development was confirmed in a statement released on Monday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.
Tinubu had departed Nigeria on September 4 for France to begin part of his annual holiday, with plans to later spend time in the United Kingdom. However, he will now return to the country earlier than originally scheduled.
However, he has concluded his engagements earlier than planned and is set to resume official duties immediately on arrival.

While in Paris last week, President Tinubu held a private luncheon with his French counterpart, President Emmanuel Macron, at the Élysée Palace.
Both leaders reviewed key areas of cooperation between Nigeria and France and agreed to deepen their partnership for mutual prosperity and global stability.
President Tinubu’s early resumption is expected to refocus national attention on critical economic and governance issues awaiting his leadership in Abuja.
