Tragedy in Zaria as building collapse claims 4 lives

A family in Zaria, Kaduna State, has been plunged into grief following the tragic collapse of a mud building that claimed four lives in the early hours of Wednesday.
The victims identified as Habiba Nuhu, a mother of three, two of her children, and her grandchild were asleep when part of the mud wall gave way between 3:30 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. in Zaria city, Zaria Local Government Area.
According to a relative, Mallam Ahmed Ibrahim, the tragic incident happened suddenly as the family slept, leaving no chance for the victims to escape. He explained that only the family’s father and husband, Nuhu Dogara, survived the collapse.
Ibrahim gave the names of the children and grandchild as Hauwa’u Nuhu, Aina’u Nuhu, and Za’uma Nuhu, respectively.

He attributed the incident to the dilapidated condition of the wall fence, saying, “The fence is old. Nobody is taking care of it.”
It was gathered that the deceased were buried in accordance with Islamic injunctions in Zaria city on Wednesday.
