Breaking…Ex-Benue Speaker Aondona Dajoh suspended for 3 months

The Benue State House of Assembly has suspended its immediate past Speaker, Aondona Dajoh, for three months over allegations of attempting to mislead fellow lawmakers.
Dajoh’s suspension was approved during plenary after a motion was moved by Terna Shimawua, representing Kyan State Constituency, and seconded by James Umoru from Apa State Constituency.
Notably, Shimawua was among the lawmakers suspended last week Friday by Dajoh himself, shortly before his resignation as Speaker a development that has added fresh intrigue to the Assembly’s internal politics.

The Speaker, Alfred Emberga, who ruled on the motion, reviewed Dajoh’s suspension from six to three months
Lawmakers also confirmed controversial Associate Professor Ornguga and other nominees previously rejected by the Assembly.
The Assembly equally lifted the suspension earlier placed on the Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and other 2 other Government officials.
