Popular Nigerian DJ and philanthropist, Florence Otedola, widely known as DJ Cuppy, has taken to social media to candidly express her frustration about being single at 33, despite her impressive achievements in both her professional and academic life.

The daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, DJ Cuppy reflected on the challenges of finding a compatible partner, noting that her success seems to be more of a barrier than a bridge when it comes to relationships.

In her post, she revealed that many of the men who have shown interest in her often fall short in basic areas including something as simple as spelling highlighting a deeper disconnect in values, intellect, and ambition.

“Making it big… but mother of Dúdú and FünFün, no husband, with plenty suitors in my DMs and none can even spell Pomeranian,” she wrote.

In the past, DJ Cuppy has candidly admitted to having her own difficulties with spelling, despite being an Oxford University alumna — a detail she used to emphasize her surprise at the level of errors in messages she receives from potential suitors.

She also shared that she often turns to prayer when she sees wedding photos online, using the moment to remind God of her own desire for a life partner.

The entertainer, who called off her engagement to British boxer Ryan Taylor in 2023, has never hidden her longing for marriage.

Recently, DJ Cuppy was named a 2025 Goalkeeper by the Gates Foundation, an honour recognizing her philanthropic work and global impact.
