Fulani herder killed by unknown assailants while grazing in Taraba

Tragedy has struck the Mounga Dosso area of Karim Lamido Local Government Area in Taraba State, where a Fulani herder was reportedly killed by unidentified attackers while tending to his cattle.
The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon and was made public on Monday through a post by prominent security analyst Zagazola Makama via his official X (formerly Twitter) handle.
“The victim, identified as Abdullahi Yusufa, was shot in the ribs and hand and also suffered machete cuts to his head,” Makama wrote .
A relative, Ardo Ibrahim Gambo, reported the incident to security agents, who quickly moved to the scene.

Yusufa was found lying lifeless and rushed to the General Hospital, where doctors confirmed him dead.
During the attack, four of his cattle were also shot. Two died instantly, while the other two were so badly injured that they had to be slaughtered.
