Suspected Kidnap kingpin arrested days after abduction of soldier in Lagos

In a swift breakthrough, security operatives have arrested a suspected kidnapping kingpin, Wosiu Oloyede, just two days after the abduction of a serving soldier in the Alagbado area of Lagos State.
According to a report by security analyst Zagozola Makama, Oloyede—believed to be the leader of a notorious kidnapping syndicate—was apprehended on Sunday in the Odo Pako area of Ota, Ogun State, following an intensive manhunt by the police.
Makama revealed that the incident began on Friday when Oloyede’s gang abducted a soldier in Alagbado, stealing his military uniform, ID card, ATM cards, and mobile phone. Fortunately, the soldier managed to escape from captivity.

In a bizarre twist, Oloyede allegedly attempted to use the stolen military uniform to impersonate a soldier and deceive a local vigilante. He reportedly tried to overpower the vigilante member and snatch his dane gun, but the attempt backfired, leading to his arrest.
