Piastri triumphs in Miami as McLaren secure stunning one-two finish

Oscar Piastri tightened his grip on the Formula 1 World Championship with a commanding win at the Miami Grand Prix, leading a brilliant McLaren one-two finish ahead of teammate Lando Norris.
Starting from fourth on the grid, Piastri delivered a masterclass in precision and control, overtaking pole-sitter Max Verstappen in an early duel before pulling away to seal his third consecutive Grand Prix victory—and fourth in just six races this season.

Norris, who began the race on the front row, encountered early drama after a first-lap clash with Verstappen dropped him to sixth. But the Briton mounted a superb comeback, cutting through the field with determination to secure second place by the finish.
The result marks a monumental weekend for McLaren, who now find themselves firmly in the title mix. Piastri, who had finished behind Norris in Saturday’s Sprint, now leads the drivers’ standings by 16 points, underlining his meteoric rise as a championship contender.
