Benue: Tor Tiv leads crucial meeting with prominent Tiv stakeholders on insecurity, unity agenda

The Paramount Ruler of the Tiv Nation, His Royal Majesty James Ayatse, the Tor Tiv V, is presiding over a high-level meeting with distinguished Tiv sons and daughters at the Tor Tiv Palace in Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State.
The meeting, convened by the Tiv Area Traditional Council, brings together a powerful delegation of Tiv stakeholders, including the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, as well as former Governors Samuel Ortom and Gabriel Suswam.
Also in attendance are former Attorney General of the Federation, Michael Aondoakaa, senators, members of the House of Representatives, traditional rulers, and other influential personalities from Tiv-speaking areas.

At the heart of the gathering is the urgent need to address the escalating insecurity affecting Tivland, which spans across the North-East and North-West senatorial zones of Benue State.
The council is also deliberating on the strained relationships among political actors, with a strong call for unity beyond political affiliations.
