Tuchel begins England tenure with 2-0 win over Albania as Lewis-Skelly makes history

Thomas Tuchel’s era as England head coach got off to a winning start as the Three Lions secured a hard-fought 2-0 victory over Albania in a FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifier at Wembley.
One of the standout moments of the match came from Arsenal’s rising star, Myles Lewis-Skelly. Making his senior debut, the 18-year-old full-back etched his name into the history books by scoring England’s opening goal in the 20th minute.

Lewis-Skelly calmly slotted home after receiving a perfectly timed pass from Jude Bellingham, becoming the youngest player to score on his England debut at 18 years and 176 days old.
England wrapped up the win in the 77th minute, courtesy of captain Harry Kane, who netted his 70th international goal in his 104th appearance.
