Fire ravages popular scrap market in Kano

A massive fire outbreak has engulfed the popular scrap market in Kano State, destroying property worth millions of naira and leaving traders devastated.
The inferno, which started in the early hours of Wednesday, March 19, 2025, spread rapidly, consuming numerous shops and materials in the market.
While the exact cause of the fire remains unknown, eyewitnesses reported that the flames intensified quickly before emergency responders arrived.

Fortunately, no fatalities have been recorded so far, but traders and business owners are counting their losses as firefighters work to contain the blaze.
Authorities are expected to launch an investigation into the incident, while affected traders are calling for urgent government intervention to help them recover from the disaster.
