Tragic dispute over bathroom use ends in fatal stabbing in Abuja

A shocking incident in Zauda Village, Gwagwa, Abuja, has left residents in disbelief after a dispute over the use of a bathroom turned deadly.
The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has confirmed the arrest of 30-year-old Kassim Jibrin for allegedly stabbing his neighbor, 45-year-old Collins Onyemaobi, to death.
According to security reports, the tragic altercation occurred on the morning of March 15, 2025, at around 9:30 a.m. What started as a disagreement between the two men quickly escalated into a violent confrontation. In the heat of the argument, Jibrin allegedly brandished a knife and fatally stabbed Onyemaobi in the chest.

Eyewitnesses immediately rushed the victim to Kubwa General Hospital in an attempt to save his life. Unfortunately, doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival, and his body has since been deposited in the hospital’s mortuary.
The police swiftly arrested Jibrin at the scene, and he remains in custody as investigations into the tragic incident continue. Authorities have urged residents to maintain peace and resolve conflicts without resorting to violence.
