Chelsea edge Copenhagen to take control of Conference League Last-16 tie

Chelsea took a significant step toward the UEFA Conference League quarter-finals with a 2-1 victory over Copenhagen in Denmark on Thursday.
Captain Reece James fired the Blues ahead early in the second half with a stunning 30-yard strike, setting the tone for a dominant display. Substitute Enzo Fernandez doubled Chelsea’s advantage in the 65th minute, further strengthening their grip on the tie.

Copenhagen responded through Gabriel Pereira, who powered home a header from Marcos Lopez’s deep free-kick, but Chelsea held firm to secure the win.
With the second leg set for Thursday, 13th March, at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea remains in a strong position to advance to the quarter-finals.
