Breaking…Ex-presidential aide, Doyin Okupe, passes away

Dr. Doyin Okupe, a renowned Nigerian physician, politician, and former presidential adviser, has passed away at the age of 72.
Family sources confirmed that Okupe had been gravely ill in the weeks leading up to his death, with his health deteriorating rapidly.
According to reports, he succumbed to a prolonged battle with cancer, a condition he had fought for over a decade.
Okupe was first diagnosed with prostate cancer 16 years ago and, in later years, also developed sarcoma in his right shoulder.

In October 2023, he was reported to have traveled to Israel for treatment, but despite medical efforts, his condition worsened.
Throughout his career, Okupe played a significant role in Nigeria’s political landscape, serving as an adviser to former presidents and actively shaping national discourse.
