Kidnappers kill former Comptroller-General Of Immigration in Abuja

Tragedy struck on Tuesday as David Shikfu Parradang, the retired Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), was kidnapped and murdered by unidentified assailants in Abuja.
The incident took place in Area 1, Abuja, shortly after Parradang had withdrawn money from a bank. Reports indicate that he was trailed by the kidnappers, who seized the cash before brutally killing him.
This heartbreaking development has heightened concerns over security in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), particularly in relation to the rising incidents of kidnappings and targeted attacks.
A source who verified the incident expressed sorrow, saying,

“It is sad to hear that our Brother David Parradang was shot and killed yesterday. May his gentle soul rest in peace.”
Parradang spent over 30 years in public service at the Nigerian Immigration Service having worked across the country in Kano, Lagos, Kwara, Enugu and the Federal Capital Territory as well as attending courses in-country and internationally.
All efforts to reach the Abuja police spokesperson, Josephine Adeh proved abortive as text messages and calls were not responded to as at the time of filing this report.
