Popular skit maker Mrsankucomedy dies in tragic car accident

Nigerian skit maker Sanku Olaniyi, popularly known as Mrsankucomedy, has tragically passed away in a car accident, along with a friend, in the early hours of Monday, September 1, 2025.

Both victims were rushed to the hospital, but Mrsankucomedy was pronounced dead shortly after arrival, sending shockwaves through the Nigerian entertainment community.

Sanku began his comedy career in 2021 and rose to prominence in 2024 after releasing a freestyle video that garnered over 70,000 views. Known for his unique style and infectious humor, he quickly amassed a loyal fan base and became a rising star in Nigeria’s digital comedy scene.
