Kidnappers’ getaway ends in tragedy as vehicle crashes in Nasarawa

In a dramatic turn of events, a group of suspected kidnappers met an unexpected fate on Monday morning after their getaway vehicle crashed in Angwan Mayo, Kokona Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
According to eyewitnesses, the gang had just collected ransom money from the families of their captives when disaster struck. While attempting to speed away from the area, their vehicle lost control and veered off the road, ending their escape abruptly.
Security operatives, including police officers and soldiers, quickly arrived at the scene, taking charge of the situation and securing the area to prevent further chaos.

Local residents commended the swift intervention of security forces, stressing that their prompt response prevented the suspects from vanishing into surrounding communities.
As of press time, authorities had not released information regarding arrests, the amount of ransom recovered, or the condition of those inside the vehicle.
