APC chairman Nentawe Yilwatda loses mother at 83

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has been bereaved following the death of his mother, Mama Lydia Yilwatda. She passed away on Sunday at the age of 83.
In a statement issued by the APC’s Plateau State acting Publicity Secretary, Shittu Bamaiyi, the late Mama Lydia was confirmed to have died at the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH).
The party described her as a devout Christian, a virtuous woman, and a pillar of humility who dedicated her life to service and the growth of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN). Her contributions to the church and her community, the APC noted, remain a lasting legacy.
She was widely respected for her humane disposition, community service, and commitment to the welfare of others.

The loss is said to be devastating, especially to the Yilwatda family, as Mama Lydia’s prayers, wise counsel, and motherly support were highly valued by her family, particularly the National Chairman.
The party prayed for the repose of her soul and for God’s comfort upon the bereaved family.
