AIBEN properties boss honoured with NUJ FCT outstanding real estate service award

The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of AIBEN Properties, Chief Dr. Andy Elerewe, has been honoured with the NUJ FCT “Outstanding Real Estate Service Award” in recognition of his remarkable contributions and lasting impact on Nigeria’s housing sector.
The prestigious award was presented by the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) FCT Council as part of events marking its 2025 Press Week.
Speaking after receiving the honour, Chief Elerewe expressed deep appreciation for the recognition, commending the hard work, dedication, and professionalism of the NUJ FCT leadership, led by Comrade Grace Ike.
According to him “ You have always been there, standing, reaching out, interceding, interfacing with government on behalf of the voiceless, and we appreciate your efforts”
“ as journalists your quest for National Development cannot be over emphasized because as a reporter back then I recall how often we pursue stories for coverage”
“ the fourth estate of the realm remains vital pillar and I must say your tenure is doing well in repositioning the media landscape in Abuja “

Confirming his company’s well deserved award for outstanding real estate services, Dr Andy unveiled some of the world class facilities owned by AIBEN properties to include a world class sports complex in one of the company’s recent estates and in his usual magnanimous spirit, and passion for supporting meaningful projects, also projected hosting the NUJ FCT Council Sports tournament next season.
He said “ You know we in AIBEN Properties are sensitive when it comes to resorts, almost all our estates have recreational facilities. Even in Maralago, we are building a world class sports complex there, maybe hopefully, the next edition of the NUJ FCT Sports tournament, we’ll be hosting you guys there. I think it’s something I’ll really give a thought to, we’ll try to host it.
We wish you all the best and a successful tournament ahead”, he added
In her response, the Chairman of the NUJ FCT Council, Comrade Grace Ike, expressed the Council’s appreciation for the passionate support of the AIBEN CEO in supporting worthy projects of the NUJ FCT and for his deep desire and efforts to reduce the housing deficit in Nigeria.
Dr Elerewe has served as chairman of the Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN) and is currently the national vice-president for the North Central Zone of REDAN.
He has received numerous awards, including Young Entrepreneur of the Year by the Nigeria Union of Journalists, recognition from the Nigerian Society of Engineers, and an honorary doctorate from London Graduate School.
He is also a fellow or member of multiple professional bodies in project management, personnel development, housing, and engineering disciplines. Under his leadership, AIBEN Group expanded into real estate, hospitality, retail, and energy sectors, gaining prominence in Nigeria and beyond.
Andy Elerewe is recognized as one of the top influential figures in Nigeria’s real estate sector, known for ambitious projects including large housing estates that address housing deficits in Nigeria.
