In a statement issued on Friday in Abuja, the Council described Uzendu’s achievement as a remarkable milestone, commending his resilience, determination, and unwavering commitment to professional excellence.
The NUJ FCT Council further noted that Uzendu’s transition into the legal profession is a source of pride not only for him but also for the wider journalism community, as it reflects the capacity of journalists to excel across diverse fields.

Over the years, he has demonstrated strong commitment to excellence in journalism, leadership, and service to humanity. His new accomplishment, the Council observed, further reinforces his versatility and passion for continuous learning.
“Barrister Uzendu has always upheld the values of fairness, justice, and integrity. We are confident that these principles, which guided his career as a journalist and union leader, will continue to shape his practice in the legal profession,” the statement read in part.
The Council wishes him continued success, wisdom, and fulfillment in his legal career and expresses hope that his contributions will help strengthen both the media and justice sectors in Nigeria.
