Suicide: Woman found dead inside church

A somber atmosphere enveloped the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) Prayer City, located along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, following the discovery of a 41-year-old woman, Benita Ikuenobe, found lifeless inside the church auditorium in what is believed to be a case of suicide.
The tragic incident occurred early Friday morning and was confirmed by the church’s Chief Security Officer, Esiere Ekikere, who said he was alerted by a distress call around 7:20 a.m. The caller reported an unconscious woman lying motionless on the floor within the auditorium.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama also reported on the case, adding that investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of death. While the circumstances suggest suicide, authorities have yet to release a conclusive statement.

When he arrived at the scene, the woman was found unresponsive, with an empty bottle of what is believed to be a poisonous substance, identified as “Sniper,” placed beside her.
Police officers later arrived to examine the scene. Photographs were taken for record purposes, and the body was subsequently transported to the morgue at Real Divine Hospital, where an autopsy will be carried out.
