Gunmen abduct medical doctor in Zamfara

Zamfara State has again been thrown into a state of concern following the abduction of a medical doctor, Dr. Abdullahi Dangulbi, by armed gunmen.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama broke the news on Thursday via a post on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle. According to the report, Dr. Dangulbi, who serves at Anka General Hospital in Anka Local Government Area, was kidnapped on Wednesday around 11:30 a.m.
He was reportedly seized at Tashar Kalgo village, shortly after passing Jangebe town in Talata Mafara Local Government Area, while on his way from Anka to Gusau, the state capital.

As of the time of this report, there has been no official statement from the authorities regarding the incident. It also remains unclear whether any contact has been made with the kidnappers or if a ransom has been demanded.
The abduction highlights the ongoing security challenges in Zamfara and other parts of northern Nigeria, where kidnappings for ransom continue to pose serious threats to lives and livelihoods.
