President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria today, Monday, following his successful working visit to Europe.

This update was confirmed by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, through a statement on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle.

In a brief announcement, Onanuga put an end to speculations about the president’s travel schedule, stating, “President Bola Tinubu will return home today.”

The president embarked on the trip on April 2, traveling to Paris, France, for what was described as a short ‘working visit.’ The visit aimed to review his administration’s mid-term performance and assess the key milestones achieved since he took office.

In an earlier statement, Onanuga mentioned that the retreat would provide President Tinubu with an opportunity to evaluate ongoing reforms and engage in strategic planning ahead of his administration’s second anniversary.

President Tinubu had departed Nigeria on April 2 for Paris, France, for what was described as a short ‘working visit’.

During the visit, he was expected to appraise his administration’s mid-term performance and assess key milestones since assuming office.

In an earlier statement, Onanuga said the President would use the retreat “to review the progress of ongoing reforms and engage in strategic planning ahead of his administration’s second anniversary.”

The period, he added, would also help inform plans to deepen reforms and accelerate national development priorities in the year ahead.

Following his engagements in Paris, President Tinubu proceeded to London over the weekend, where he continued consultations and maintained regular communication with senior government officials in Abuja.
