A disturbing incident has sent shockwaves through the Aji community in Enugu-Ezike, Igbo Eze North Local Government Area of Enugu State.

A woman, whose identity has yet to be confirmed, is accused of brutally killing her younger sister with a cutlass in a horrifying act of violence.

According to reports, the suspect did not stop there—she allegedly attempted to attack both her mother and her deceased sister’s child. The motive behind the gruesome act remains unclear, leaving the community in shock and mourning.

Witnesses reported that the woman admitted to being possessed by an unusual entity. In a video shared on Facebook by Anyika TV, she stated, “I was possessed by a strange being; it was not me that did it.”

The video captured the suspect’s confession, showing her in a visibly distressed state. She asserted that her actions were beyond her control, claiming to have been driven by an unseen force.

“I don’t know what came over me; I just saw myself with the cutlass and I started attacking them,” she said.

The suspect’s family is still trying to come to terms with the incident. Her mother and niece, who were also attacked, have been rushed to Bishop Shanahan Hospital in Nsukka, where they are currently battling for their lives.

“We are shocked and devastated by this incident; we don’t know what could have led her to do such a thing,” a family member said.

Attempts by SaharaReporters to reach the Enugu State Police Command were unsuccessful, as the Command’s spokesperson, SP Daniel Ndukwe, was unavailable at the time of filing this report.

However, sources indicate that the police in Igbo-Eze North have launched an investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
