DSS arrests 2 principal suspects in Uromi killings as Edo Governor pledges justice

Operatives of the Department of State Security (DSS) have apprehended two key suspects linked to the killing of 16 Nigerians of Northern extraction in Uromi, Esan North East Local Government Area, last week.
The arrests were made following credible intelligence, as security agencies intensify efforts to track down other individuals involved in the tragic incident.
Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, had earlier revealed during a condolence visit to Kano State on Monday that 14 suspects had already been taken into custody in connection with the killings.

During his visit, Governor Okpebholo assured the affected families and the Kano State government that justice would be served. He emphasized that all perpetrators of the crime would be held accountable and vowed to ensure they face the full weight of the law.
Additionally, the governor pledged that adequate compensation would be provided to the families of the victims as part of the state’s commitment to supporting those affected.
