Transcorp Hilton Abuja clarifies brief water disruption, dismisses viral reports

Transcorp Hilton Abuja has addressed recent concerns circulating on social media regarding its water supply, confirming that the issue was temporary and has since been fully resolved.
In a statement released on April 24, 2026, the hotel management explained that the disruption lasted for just one day and was caused by emergency maintenance work carried out by the Federal Capital Territory Water Board (FCTWB).
According to the statement, the maintenance exercise began on Tuesday, April 14, leading to a temporary interruption in water supply within the hotel. However, management noted that swift contingency measures were put in place to ensure guests continued to enjoy uninterrupted services and comfort during the period.
The hotel also dismissed widespread social media claims suggesting a prolonged or unresolved water shortage, describing such reports as false and misleading.

Management clarified that normal water supply was fully restored the following day, Wednesday, April 15, and has remained stable ever since.
Reaffirming its commitment to excellence, the hotel emphasized that all its facilities and services are operating at full capacity, maintaining the high standards expected by its guests and stakeholders.
The statement, signed by General Manager Martin Zarybnicky, also expressed appreciation to customers for their understanding and continued support.
