Stephen Odimgbe was born on September 26, 1989.
Although he grew up in Lagos State, he is originally from Okija in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State in South-East Nigeria.
He was raised by his parents, Jack and Judy Odimgbe. Stephen also has a brother known as Softkid, who is an upcoming musician.
Growing up in Lagos exposed him to different cultures and lifestyles, which later influenced his acting style and versatility on screen.
For his education, Stephen completed his primary and secondary schooling in Lagos State.
He first gained admission into Madonna University but later withdrew. Determined to complete his studies, he enrolled at Abia State University, Uturu, where he studied Management and Planning and graduated in 2015.
Acting career
Stephen Odimgbe’s passion for acting started at a very young age during his primary school days.
However, his professional journey in Nollywood began in 2015 when he got his first movie role.
He once narrated how the late Elder Maya introduced him to a film project and gave him about seven scenes to act, alongside a cheque of ₦7,000.
That payment marked his first earnings as a Nollywood actor, and he said his passion for acting grew stronger the moment he cashed the cheque at the bank.
After that experience, top producer Uche Nancy contacted him to feature in a movie titled White Hunters.

He acted alongside popular stars like Mercy Johnson, Funke Akindele and Ini Edo.
His dedication and consistency gradually earned him more roles, and he officially became a professional actor after playing the role of Red in the 2018 comedy movie Big Mess.
Stephen’s major breakthrough came through the comedy television series Professor Johnbull, which aired between 2016 and 2018.
He played the role of Flash in the series, acting alongside veterans such as Kanayo O. Kanayo, Patience Ozokwor and Mercy Johnson.
The role was so impactful that fans began calling him Flashboy, a name he later adopted as his brand name in the industry.

Since then, Stephen Odimgbe has remained active in Nollywood and has featured in over 250 movies and television productions, including English and Igbo films.
