Israeli airstrikes kill at least 70 in Gaza as bombing resumes

At least 70 Palestinians were killed and dozens more wounded in a series of Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip on Thursday, according to Gaza health officials.
The strikes came after Israel resumed its bombing campaign on the enclave, escalating tensions in the region.

Medics on the ground reported that Israeli warplanes targeted several residential buildings in both northern and southern Gaza, leaving widespread destruction. Rescue teams worked through the rubble in an effort to locate survivors, while hospitals struggled to cope with the influx of casualties.
The renewed airstrikes follow weeks of mounting hostilities, though there was no immediate comment from Israeli authorities regarding Thursday’s bombardment. The situation remains tense, with fears of further escalation as the conflict continues to unfold.
