Houthi missile intercepted as Israeli airstrikes hit Gaza

Yemen’s Houthi group has claimed responsibility for launching a ballistic missile toward Israel, targeting Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that air defense systems intercepted the missile before it entered Israeli airspace, preventing casualties or damage.
Sirens sounded across multiple areas of Israel as the missile approached, prompting alerts and emergency measures. The IDF has not disclosed specific details on the interception but reiterated its preparedness against aerial threats.

In a televised statement, a Houthi military spokesperson said the missile strike was part of ongoing operations in response to the conflict in Gaza. The Iran-aligned group has previously declared support for Palestinian factions, escalating tensions in the region.
Meanwhile, in Gaza, Israeli airstrikes early Thursday reportedly killed at least 10 people, according to the Hamas-run civil defense agency. The strikes come as Israel continues its military operations against Hamas, following weeks of hostilities.
The situation in the region remains volatile, with international observers warning of potential further escalation as multiple fronts remain active in the conflict.
