Many killed as gunmen attack old Oyo National Park

Gunmen have reportedly attacked the Old Oyo National Park located in the Oke Ogun geopolitical zone of Oyo State, sparking fears of multiple casualties.
According to reports, the attack involved heavy gunfire, leading to the deaths of some individuals. However, the exact number of casualties had not been officially confirmed as of Wednesday when this report was filed.
Details surrounding the circumstances of the attack remain sketchy, while security agencies are yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
The Public Relations Officer of the Oyo State Police Command, Olayinka Ayanlade, confirmed the incident.
He said police officers and other security agencies have been deployed and are currently on their way to the scene to restore calm and assess the situation.

Details of the attack and the identities of the victims were still sketchy at the time of filing this report.
He made the confirmation in a statement sent to journalists, Wednesday afternoon.
“Yes there was an attack by yet to be identified men against the men of the national park.
“The Commissioner of Police Oyo State Police Command and other service chief are currently on their way to the location meanwhile the Commissioner of Police Oyo State Police Command CP Femi Haruna have deployed Tactical teams, Mobile Police Force officer of the NPF and EOD to the affected area to prevent further breakdown of law and order.
