President Bola Tinubu is set to depart Abuja on Saturday for a three-state visit covering Borno, Bauchi, and Lagos, where he will also spend the end-of-year holidays.

The development was announced late Friday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.

The president’s first stop will be Maiduguri, Borno State, where he is scheduled to commission projects executed by Governor Babagana Zulum’s administration and the Federal Government.

While in Borno, Tinubu will also attend the wedding ceremony of Sadeeq Sheriff, son of former Governor Ali Modu Sheriff, and his fiancee, Hadiza Kam Salem.

From Maiduguri, the president will proceed to Bauchi State to condole with the state government and the family of the late Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, a renowned Muslim cleric and leader of the Tijjaniyya Muslim Brotherhood who died on November 27.

After the condolence visit, Tinubu will travel to Lagos to spend the Christmas and New Year holidays.

During his stay in Lagos, the president will serve as guest of honour at the Eyo Festival scheduled for December 27 at Tafawa Balewa Square.

The festival will honour prominent figures, including the president’s late mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, as well as former governors Lateef Jakande and Michael Otedola.
