Court admits new exhibits in murder trial of corps member Salome Adaidu

The Nasarawa State High Court in Lafia has admitted seven additional exhibits in the ongoing murder trial of 32-year-old Oluwatimileyin Daniels Ajayi, accused of killing female corps member Salome Adaidu.
During Tuesday’s hearing, Justice Simon Aboki received the exhibits as the prosecution, led by Barr. Raymond Umaru, presented two police officers as fresh witnesses.
A police officer from the Karshi division submitted a phone containing video evidence from the accused’s apartment, where six polythene bags with the victim’s remains and severed head were allegedly discovered.

Another officer from the state CID presented a cutlass, two knives, and the deceased’s handbag, which contained personal items such as her phone, clothes, toothbrush, body cream, shoes, and perfume.
Following the review of the exhibits, Justice Aboki adjourned the trial to March 19 for the defense to present its case.
After the hearing, the prosecution expressed confidence in the evidence provided, while the defense assured the public that justice would be served.
