20 ships carrying petrol, food, cargo dock at Lagos ports

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has reported that 20 ships are currently discharging petroleum products and essential food items at Apapa, Tincan, and Lekki Ports in Lagos.
The information was released in the NPA’s ‘Shipping Position’ publication, a copy of which was made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
According to the report, the cargo being offloaded includes frozen fish, petrol, general cargo, containers, bulk sugar, buckwheat, bulk fertiliser, bulk urea, bulk gas, and bulk gypsum.
The authority said that two other ships had arrived the ports, waiting to berth with bulk wheat and containers.
According to the NPA, 20 other ships with petroleum products, food items and other goods are being expected at the Lagos ports complex, from Nov. 12 to Nov. 14.

It said that the ships contained general cargo, buckwheat, bulk sugar, base oil, aviation fuel, diesel, gas oil, bulk urea, containers and petrol.
