Over 100 APC members defect to NNPP in Kano as commissioner welcomes new supporters

The political landscape in Kano State has continued to shift as more than 100 members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) officially defected to the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Tarai, Kibiya Local Government Area.
The decampees were formally received by the Kano State Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Adamu A. Kibiya, who described the move as a strong endorsement of the NNPP’s leadership and developmental agenda in the state.
Mr Kiru said that the defectors, led by APC woman leader, Sabuwa Tarai, cited the development projects and programmes executed by Gov. Yusuf’s administration as the reason for their decision to join NNPP.
“We are impressed by the numerous projects executed by Gov. Yusuf at the local government and state level,” Mrs Tarai said.

The commissioner assured the defectors of equal treatment and welcomed them to the NNPP family, urging them to work together for the party’s progress.
