Gov Eno dissolves boards, commissions in Akwa Ibom

Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has ordered the immediate dissolution of all statutory and non-statutory boards and commissions in the state.
The directive was announced on Thursday in Uyo by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Enobong Uwah. While making the announcement, Uwah commended the outgoing board members for their dedication and service during their tenure.
According to Uwah, the governor acted under the authority of Section 6 of the Statutory Boards (Special Provisions) Law, 2023.

He explained that the dissolution takes effect immediately. “The governor wishes members of the dissolved boards and commissions well in their future endeavours,” Uwah said.
“The governor commends them for the roles they have played towards achieving the promises contained in the ARISE Agenda,” he added.
Uwah further directed all former chairmen of the affected bodies to hand over government assets in their custody to the most senior officials within their respective establishments.
