4 killed in Abuja fatal road accident after Sallah celebration

A tragic road accident has claimed the lives of four people in Abuja’s Central Business District, leaving commuters and residents in shock.
The fatal crash, which occurred on Saturday evening, reportedly involved three men and one woman who lost their lives in the incident.
According to reports, the accident happened at about 6:00 p.m., causing significant disruption to traffic movement and resulting in a major gridlock along the affected route.
Speaking to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), an eyewitness, who requested anonymity, disclosed that the victims were on their way back from Sallah festivities when the unfortunate incident occurred.

Stanley Gonji, Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) rescue team at the City Gate Unit in Abuja, confirmed that officials promptly responded to the scene and successfully evacuated the victims.
Meanwhile, attempts to obtain an official statement from the FRSC regarding the circumstances surrounding the crash were still ongoing at the time of filing this report.
The remains of the deceased were taken to the National Hospital, Abuja.
NAN further reports that investigations into the accident are expected to continue.
