10 key facts to know about late Nollywood actor, Alex Ekubo

Alexx Ekubo was one of the most recognised faces in Nollywood, celebrated for his performances in romantic comedies, drama films and television series.
Known for his charm, fashion sense and versatility, the actor built a successful career that spanned more than a decade, featuring in over 100 movies and TV productions before his reported death on May 12, 2026.

1. Alexx Ekubo was born on April 10, 1986, and originated from Arochukwu in south-eastern Nigeria.
Even though he spent time in different parts of the country while growing up, he remained proud of his Igbo heritage and often embraced his cultural identity publicly.
2. Before becoming a household name in entertainment, Ekubo studied Law at University of Calabar.
