EFCC set to take over Malami’s Abuja residence

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday moved to take over the Maitama residence of former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, in Abuja.
According to reports, the operation was led by Folarin Dare and involved around five buses of operatives, all clad in the EFCC’s signature red and black jackets. The officials were heavily armed and reportedly barricaded the road leading to the residence as part of the takeover.
Attempts to gain access to the property, located at No. 2 Koranakh Close, off Amazon Street in Maitama, were unsuccessful as the area was sealed off by the officials.

The development is believed to be linked to an ongoing investigation into alleged financial improprieties.
